Room Mics, Ex. C, Three Violinists

TOR / ODESSA Montreal / Subject 1 / Anatomy of a Mix / Room Mics / Example C

As more violins join, this microphone system now has a much more nebulous quality, and distinguishing individual players is now slightly more difficult. Whereas in the previous iteration the room microphones captured an auditory image that was pulled towards the right, there is now a more even spread of acoustic material, seemingly pointing to more room interaction in the far left of the hall.
