Decca Tree, Ex. C, Three Violinists
TOR / ODESSA Montreal / Subject 1 / Anatomy of a Mix / Decca Tree / Example C
These excerpts are now building towards the true image of the violin section in the orchestra. As more players join, try to evaluate at what point it stops sounding like individual violinists and like an orchestral section. The addition of a violin player that, from the listener perspective, sits further to the side of the orchestra is changing the balance of the orchestral image by not just anchoring it to the left, but also sujectively increasing the source width of the violin section.
