Flow, For Mixed Ensemble (2019–2020)

Program Notes:

Flow is the product of an aesthetic preoccupation towards the domain of quiet sounds. It is a series of concurrent streams which move independently, each operating as a filter through which we hear a slowly changing meta-timbre.

Acknowledgements:

Special thanks go to the Analysis, Creation, and Teaching of Orchestration (ACTOR) project, Stephen McAdams, Guillaume Bourgogne, and the musicians who provided essential feedback and collaboration during the experimentation and creation phases of this project: Jeanne Côté, violin; Martin Daigle, percussion; Ryan Cass, trombone; Elia Foster, bass clarinet.

  • Jeanne Côté, violin

  • Martin Daigle, percussion

  • Éric Bourgeois, trombone

  • Matias Perinetti-Paniagua, bass clarinet
